Capsular tension rings are made of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) with a filter that blocks UV radiation, are designed to stabilize the capsular bag, at any time during cataract surgery.

Directions

1. Open the package and take the injector. Turn the thumbwheel forward until the ring is fully inserted into the injector.
2. Unlock the injector by sliding the tab toward the center.
3. Insert the tip of the injector into the capsular bag and turn the thumbwheel backward to release the ring in a smooth and controlled manner.
4. The ring will release itself from the hook. Turn the thumbwheel forward until the hook is retracted and the injector is removed from the eye.
